We hope you are enjoying our "Love Yourself" Valentine's Day Campaign as much as we are! We've noticed that the process of writing, editing and publishing these posts and newsletters has brightened OUR days and served as gentle reminders to be kind to ourselves and to others.
The campaign really started last year...
...Unlike many people, I don't like to set resolutions, because I have NEVER been able to keep them.
... Instead, I set an INTENTION for the year ahead. Setting intentions are like creating road maps towards the destinations where you want to go. Intentions help me dream big and stay focused at the same time. A few years ago, I set the intention to love myself more every day...
This guest post was written by the super-rad Jes Baker of themilitantbaker.com. In her blog, she preaches the importance of body autonomy, self-love, mental health, strong coffee, and even stronger language.
HALLOWEEN IS RAPIDLY APPROACHING, GUYS!
...This year? I TRIED BEETLEJUICE (Betelgeuse if you must)! Aka the gem of a character that was played by Michael Keaton two years after I was born... but that doesn’t stop me from using an entire can of green hair coloring.
There are two kinds of people in this world. One who, as the middle of February nears, dons their sweetheart-print pajamas and nestles all snug in their beds, with visions of heart-eyed anime characters dancing adorably in their heads...
...fighting for the rights of women, the LGBTQ community, and people of color - how could I believe these things and still body shame myself? How could I hypocritically disclude myself - and by proxy, my fellow curvy women - from my fight? That's when it really sunk in: the act of self love is the ultimate form of rebellion. And that self love directly involves our bodies.
..."I own several of your quality pieces and hope to add to that collection in the future. I have always been a larger figured person and have long felt depressed about the lack of choices in women's fashion for plus size ladies. You are so right - there is a real feeling that if you are plus sized, you had best be content in shapeless dresses or sweatpants and over-sized t-shirts. Finally, there is a clothing outfitter that understands what I want as a full-figured woman!..."
Are you more like Glinda, the Good Witch of the South? Or the Wicked Witch of the West and her evil monkeys? Maybe you identify with the Salem Witches? Or the Blair Witch? Or maybe you really ARE a Wiccan Witch, practicing "The Craft" in that secret little room under the basement floor... No matter which witch you are, Dare Fashion has you covered for Halloween!
Even though we had our hands full with other projects, including launching this blog and our refer a friend program, we were so impressed with Emily's positive attitude, her fitness journey, and her personal story that we decided to work with her anyway.
We're so glad we did! At first, we considered reproducing her entire review here on Dare to Share, but we've decided instead to share 7 reasons why we love her blogpost. This should be a helpful guide for any of you who are considering doing reviews or guest blogposts for Dare Fashion (or any other fashion company, for that matter).
We want to have many, many voices on Dare to Share: if you're a fashion blogger (or just an enthusiastic customer) and would like to submit a post for the Dare to Share blog, please email us: hello@darefashionusa.com. We're prepared to give out FREE FASHION in exchange for full-length blog posts :)
Among the images for each product listing is a style-specific size chart. For our tops and dresses, you can get your Dare size with ONLY ONE measurement!
Please use the size charts as a guideline. Our fashion is made to these specifications, but due to variations in the stretchiness of the fabric and how it is sewn, there may be some slight deviations from this chart. But please rest assured, all of our styles are designed to fit a range of body types, with features such as stretch fabrics, corset lace-ups, and spaghetti ties in the back to customize the fit.
And did we mention... if it doesn’t fit, you can return it, no questions asked! So buy with confidence. And if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us - we're here to help!
